The site’s been down for quite a while and I have had a raft of great new ideas, recipes and plans.
But (there’s always a but) life off the computer has been coming first, including house hunting and working full time. The two have left little scope for putting energy and effort into my blog.
Down the track, when the dust settles (I move house in three weeks!) I will get on and fix a few things that went a bit wrong, as I removed some paid plugins that I couldn’t justify having any more. I don’t make any money from this after all!
But it’s time to send the pages live again. The new house and a bright new future have inspired me to do so.
And a bit of lovely news, as I’ve made a debut on ABC radio in my home state of Tasmania.

More on the ABC Radio’s interview and future plans for that shortly, but for now I’m looking forward to more good food, more travel and more of what life has to offer.
This photo is from a Europe trip I made in 2023. While in Venice, I visited the wonderful Venissa winery and shared some of the story about how Venissa’s founder discovered a long lost golden grape, bringing it back to life as part of Venitian winemaking culture.
