Last week I was wondering what I could do for easter cooking that was a little unique and fun. Pondering some recently purchased chocolate eggs, it occurred to me that there is a lot of wasted space inside those hollow chocolate treats, so the idea to fill them with some delicious home-made ice-cream seemed too much fun not to try out and I knew both the little and big people in my life would enjoy them.
It turns out this chocolate-strawberry-ice-cream treat is so good I think it must become a tradition in our house for easter.
Although these are pretty special, next time I’ll make sure I use some excellent quality Belgian or Swiss dark chocolate eggs instead of the milk ones I experimented with here.
