Hot sauce and chilli lovers get your zing on! This is not for the faint-hearted, as it’s a recipe absolutely buzzing with flavour and heat, combining elements from a number of different recipes I researched before making. Although not a fan of disposable items in my house, in this instance, thin disposable gloves are very handy (no pun intended). Or you could use washable rubber gloves, but it will make handling and chopping the chillis a bit trickier.
I used my homegrown chillis – a mixture of orange, red and yellow. The recipe made four 300ml jars of spicy, sensational sauce.
Use it with meats, sandwiches, vegetables or to spice up soups and braises. It is wonderful.
